The Company:
Our client has a solid reputation in the UK and European clothing market and work for all the major High Street Retailers. They are currently looking for a Fabric Technologist to join their busy team.
 
The ideal candidate will have 5 years experience and have worked with Knitwear and Yarn.
 
The Role:

  • Taking fabric through from design/development production.
  • Responsible for ensuring the fabrics are fit for purpose.
  • Oversee the approval of lab dips and maintain records.
  • Monitor and approve pre-production and bulk fabrics.
  • Provide fabric technical support.
  • Ensuring quality, ethical and legal standards are met.
  • Looking after all product categories; ladies and childrenswear including wovens.
  • Coordinating testing of fabrics across the primary ladies and childrenswear ranges.
  • Managing the fabric testing budget with monthly updates.
  • Assessing and evaluating, annually, the current testing strategy and suggest any improvements that may be required.
  • Review, on an annual basis, testing costs and methods being used in line with market requirements, suggesting any improvements which may be required.
  • Attend all fabric suppliers meetings with design.

 
Skills Required:

  • You must have a minimum of 5 years previous experience within a similar role.
  • Must have worked with Knitwear and Yarn.
  • Able to prioritise and highly attentive to detail.
