The Company:
A well established family run business are currently looking for a Junior Product Developer to join their team. The company were established in the 1960’s and pride themselves on ensuring the highest quality standards combined with flexible and cost effective manufacturing techniques. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of textiles, homeware, beds or mattresses.
 
The Role:

  • Developing new products for the market.
  • Negotiating prices and costings.
  • Communicating with Designers, suppliers and customers as a point of contact for the business.
  • Ensuring products meet regulatory standards and company internal quality expectations.
  • Developing existing products where improvements can be seen.
  • Working closely with the Directors.
  • Travelling to meet suppliers, attend trade fairs etc as and when needed.

 
Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Illustrator.
  • Previous experience working with Textiles ideally beds/ mattresses.
  • Understanding of working in a commercial environment.
  • Working knowledge of critical paths.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and work well in a team environment.
