The Company:

An experienced Sales and Customer Service Team Leader is needed to join a successful furniture supplier reporting directly to the Head of Customer Service.
You will be responsible for managing a team of inbound and outbound Customer Service/Sales Agents, coaching and reviewing their performance supporting growth targets.

The Role:

  • Providing constant direction to team members to ensure that all customer inquiries are rightfully attended to on time and in the best way possible to give them satisfaction.
  • Working within and leading a dedicated team of Sales and Customer Service Agents.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of customer service are met at all times.
  • Achieving monthly sales targets.
  • Regularly sourcing new leads, leading the sales team in consistently following the sales methodology, best practices and through own initiative.
  • Providing ongoing training and coaching to sales and customer service teams regarding sales abilities and product knowledge.
  • Reviewing sales call activity, leading follow up, prospecting and performance for each individual.
  • Providing daily guidance in matters of problem resolution, sales strategies, competitive analysis, pricing and company policy.
  • Helping to identify staffing needs and recruit new members.
  • Assessing skill sets and providing ongoing coaching and feedback to team members in order to meet objectives.
  • Reinforcing sales methodology and providing guidance on direction for success.
  • Demonstrating strong product knowledge and ability to articulate value proposition.
  • Observing the performance of team members to identify their strengths and weaknesses and make arrangements to strengthen their lose ends.
  • Taking disciplinary measures against any team members as and when needed.
  • Delegating different customer service duties to team members to ensure a faster and smoother flow of operation through division of labour.
  • Creating and implementing work procedures that will enhance the organisation and departmental service delivery, operating procedures and standards.

Skills Required:

  • Work experience gained within a sales environment.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Track record in leading a team to success.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire.
  • Outbound telesales experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to liaise with people at all levels of seniority in a professional manner at all times.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to adapt to web based CRM system.
  • Commercially aware.
  • Confident and driven personality.
