The brand’s unique designs have won it a diverse celebrity following including Olivia Palermo, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Kate Winslet. Its iconic friendship bracelets, vibrant gemstones and contemporary diamond pieces have made Monica Vinader internationally successful.
 
Monica Vinader is opening its first store in the US and rolling out the collection with US Department stores, and is looking to build a talented team to drive its ambitious growth plans.

About the role

An exciting opportunity to join our Marketing team to help us execute our strategy as the brand continues to grow globally. The role will give the candidate a good opportunity to learn about Social Media activities as well as support the Press team in a dynamic, fast growing business.

Reporting into the Senior Social Media Executive the role involves supporting on social community management, content creation, content publishing and reporting, and influencer engagement as well as daily support on sample sends outs and gifting for the Press Executive.

The successful candidate must have work experience in a professional role. They need to have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and strong communication and organisational skills. They should also be a self-starter with an ambitious spirit, willing to multi task resourcefully and work independently. The role has scope for progress and development and they should be keen to develop this further.

Key Responsibilities:
 
SOCIAL MEDIA
 
Community Management

  • Support in the community management of all Monica Vinader social media channels including: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and Google +. This involves:
  • Monitoring channels for customer comments and responding where necessary
  • Compile all submissions of user generated content and send to Senior Social Media Executive for approval

 
Content Creation

  • ​Support the Senior Social Media Executive in creating monthly content in line with wider Marketing Calendar (regional presentations etc.), including:
  • Assisting with social copy writing
  • Assisting with the creation of asset briefs for social media images

Social Publishing

  • Schedule all social posts in Sprout (our social scheduling tool) for Facebook, Twitter and Google +
  • Update all channel cover images in line with campaign land product launches
  • Updating MV Pinterest boards weekly

 
Influencer Outreach

  • Support the Senior Social Media Executive with the influencer program, including:
  • Compiling gifting lists, address and contacts
  • Sending out gifts and arranging loans
  • Adding any newly identified contacts to the brand master list
  • Responding to all blogger enquiries that come through the Press email

 
Reporting

  • Exporting monthly social media reports through Sprout to analyse channel engagement
  • Undertake research into social platform updates to help the team stay on top on the latest trends
  • Research brand competitors to understand new trends in the industry
  • Compiling monthly reports on blogger coverage gain by the brand

 
Events

  • Assisting with the execution of blogger events around key campaigns

PRESS
 

Sample management

  • Manage the send out and returns of product accurately
  • Ensure sample warehouse is accurate at all times and chase any unreturned product
  • Conduct stock takes monthly & report any discrepancies to PR Executive

 
Gifting

  • Wrap, pack and send all gifts to Editors and Celebrities as approved
  • Book couriers and ensure gifts are delivered promptly
  • Log all activities in relevant trackers

 
Press Day and Events

  • Support planning, preparation and execution of Press Day and other Events

 
​Sightings and reporting

  • Follow up on loans and gifting for Editorial coverage or Press sightings

 
SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMISATION

  • Support the wider team in carrying out web content tasks to drive SEO improvements
  • Updating of meta descriptions and alt tags  to ensure website is accessible
  • Optimise copy and landing pages as part of content creation to maximise organic search rankings
  • Regular reporting on keyword rankings and benchmarking against competitors

 
Skills & Experience:

  • The Social Media and Press Assistant must be flexible, willing to work the hours necessary to ensure deadlines are met, and able to perform well under pressure. This includes attending evening and occasional weekend events
  • They must be self-motivated, extremely organised and capable of executing on time in order to ensure that their personal and department goals and objectives are met
  • At least 3 months’ work experience preferred
  • Excellent time keeping and organisational skills
  • Excellent project management and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to confidently interact with senior level management throughout the company, answer calls, emails and greet external guests professionally and courteously
  • Good IT skills with experience using Word, Excel, E-mail and ideally Photoshop
  • Experience with any other product tracker systems would be advantageous
  • An energetic and can-do attitude
  • Team player
