Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years retail management experience required 
  • Ideally previous experience in retail management with a branded footwear retailer 
  • Excellent time management and planning capabilities 
  • Strong commercial awareness 
  • Strong visual merchandising skills 
  • Excellent communication skills 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive and deliver all KPI’s to targets set across sales, stock loss and profit and loss 
  • Manage and motivate the performance of the team to ensure sales targets are met and exceeded. 
  • To effectively recruit, manage, train and develop staff to agreed procedures and standards. 
  • To ensure the effective management of all retail staff and adequate staffing levels throughout the business. 
  • Monitor product knowledge and improve where necessary with individual training plans 
  • Conduct appraisals and performance reviews, as well as providing or organising training and development plans. 
  • Communicate and ensure the adherence of all company policies and procedures from all staff and deal with non-compliance accordingly 
  • Instil a culture of exceptional customer service through coaching and development 
  • To be responsible for the accurate completion and sign off of all staff records including salary and sickness reporting. Maintain statistical and financial records. 
  • To uphold the reputation of TOWER London by maintaining high personal standards and project a warm, appreciative and welcoming attitude towards customers and staff. 
  • To promote a customer care approach within the retail business, investigating complaints or issues of poor customer care, both timely and efficiently. 
  • To ensure the safety and security of people, stock, cash and property, implementing effective administration, procedures and security systems throughout the store in accordance with TOWER London guidelines. 
  • To have a full understanding of the Company’s disciplinary procedures as stated in the Company Handbook. And have a full knowledge of the company’s Brand Guidelines. 
  • Be a strong presence on the shop floor to drive sales and KPI performance 
  • Ensure all paperwork, policies and procedures are carried out efficiently and accurately 
  • To ensure the store is working to the highest operational standards across sales, stock loss and all HR procedures 
  • Manage presentation of company merchandise and make commercial decisions based on relevant store and competitor information 
  • Ensure the team are versed on daily, weekly targets etc. and are aware of key trends and promotions in store. 
  • Maintain an awareness of current and market trends, understand forthcoming customer promotions and monitor local competitors as and when required. 
  • Carry out all additional duties where and when necessary within the defined levels of responsibility and accountability for the role. 
  • Maintaining the strict confidentiality of all information acquired through the company. 
  • To take responsibility for being up to date with current policies and procedures and to adhere to these. 
  • Co-operating fully in the introduction of any new technology and new methods as appropriate. 
  • To promote at all times the TOWER London philosophy and uphold the TOWER London core values.
