About: Launched in 2007, Peter Pilotto's first collection of digital printed designs proved an instant hit, winning the designers instant acclaim and securing their first buyers. The British based brand is now sold in over 49 countries and is stocked by luxury retailers such as Net a Porter , Dover Street Market , Saks Fifth Avenue and Liberty.

Pilotto and DeVos have undertaken a number of collaborations with brands such as Target, Kipling, Nicholas Kirkwood and can be seen more recently working closely with artists such as Jochen Holz and Francis Upritchard. The design duo now run their label from their studio along the Haggerston canal in East London.

Our Production Student Work Placement plays a role in assisting the Production Team with a variation of different tasks, ensuring that the coordinators get full support within the production process.  The Production intern should have good computer skills as well as a good technical understanding and keen interest in garment construction and finishing.
 
What you will be doing:

  • Launching Sample packs.
  • Collecting all necessary information & materials needed for all sample packs.
  • Assist production team with any work on tech packs, PPS comments or production planning.
  • Visiting factories for pick ups and follow up on pre-production samples or production bulk. 
  • Update Fabric Quality Control Folder and archive approval strips and strike offs.
  • Assist with checking correctness of Production Strike Offs.
  • Assist with the Quality Control of fabrics & trims, ensuring raw materials meet specifications and quality requirements.
  • Assist with splitting production fabrics and trims required to fulfill bulk orders requirements for each factory.
  • Pick & Pack trims for factories ensuring materials are matching with delivery notes. 
  • Assist with the Quality Control of Embroideries.
  • Assist with the Quality Control of finished garments.
  • Follow up on any fixing that is required.

  • Competent in Adobe & Excel.

  • Mathematical understanding.
  • Tailoring background can be beneficial.
