About: CIMONE is a new high-end Womenswear label, led by creative director Carli Pearson. Pearson was trained at Central Saint Martins, and prior to launching CIMONE, worked in a variety of senior positions at some of the world’s top RTW houses.
She spent her first seven years at Stella McCartney, later moving on to become Design Director at Alexander Wang, Head of Show Collection at Pucci, and Head of Womenswear at McQ, Alexander McQueen.

CIMONE launched in AW16-17 with our first ready to wear collection and look book. Since then, we have presented catwalk collections during London Fashion Week as part of the Fashion Scout platform. CIMONE is based in London, where each garment is hand crafted and developed. Every item in the collection is nurtured throughout each stage of production, to the highest standards.

We are currently looking for a Studio / Design Assistant working in-house to directly assist our creative director with all aspects of the daily running of our design studio.  We are a new brand, and a start up, and therefore a small team, so the position will evolve and grow along with the brand.

The role will vary over the coming months, as we move towards our next presentation, and will not be limited to one aspect. Carli is really looking for someone to work closely with her and is enthusiastic to work on a multitude of areas within the business.  Knowledge of production is preferable, but not necessary, as long as the candidate is willing to learn.

For the right candidate, this opportunity will offer a fantastic insight into the luxury fashion industry.You will have the chance to work with, and learn from, our small, yet very professional, in-house team. Due to the size of our studio, you will have a broad range of responsibilities.  Varied daily tasks will ensure that you will get a unique, and rare chance to see and learn all sides of the business and a valuable insight into what it takes to run a start up label.

  • Freelance three days a week, ongoing. We are looking for someone to grow with the brand, so this may evolve into a perminent full time position.
  • Possess excellent organisational skills.
  • Have some experience working in a studio environment – preferably at least 1 plus year, although not a necessity.

Applicants should:

  • Be proficient and comfortable with daily studio work, tasks and admin
  • Have a highly dedicated can-do attitude
  • Be willing to take on any task large or small
  • Be able to demonstrate a professional demeanour in the studio
  • Have a great eye for detail, level of perfectionism, and organizational skills
  • Be a quick learner and keen to support others within the team
  • Work well with others
  • Be able to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Ability to think on their feet, with excellent problem solving skills 
  • it would be a bonus if you have sewing or pattern work experience, but this isnt a necessity

This role includes but is not limited to:

  • Studio organisation
  • General administration including photographing of samples
  • organising fitting images and comments
  • Assisting in the pattern room with swatch requests, labelling toiles, updating line sheet/ranges plans
  • Making calls and arranging pick ups etc.
  • Helping organise Press samples for send out.
  • Archiving samples, fabric and trim
  • Maintaining up to date logs on fabric and style progression
  • Research and sourcing
  • Shipping and courier organisation
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Conducting inventories at the end of the season
  • Organising shrink and fuse tests for all fabric used in collection
  • Ensure that the studio is well presented at all times
  • General studio maintenance and stock take 
  • Managing internships and over seeing interns day to day
