An exciting Fashion Designer opportunity with a Manchester-based supplier known for its intricately embellished and embroidered day-to-evening wear, catering to both high street and online retailers as well as international markets. The role emphasises trend-led creativity, technical expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to produce premium, globally appealing collections.

This role would best suit a detail-oriented, trend-led designer with experience in premium womenswear who can innovate while staying commercial—someone who thrives balancing creativity with technical precision.

The role:

  • Conceptualise and design collections from sketch through to production.
  • Conduct market research and trend forecasting for fabrics, colours, trims, and silhouettes.
  • Produce CADs, technical packs, and mood boards aligned with brand identity.
  • Oversee prototypes, attend fittings, and lead revisions.
  • Collaborate closely with merchandising, production, and marketing teams.
  • Present concepts to Directors and stay current with competitor and industry activity.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Strong technical knowledge of garment construction and textile applications.
  • Excellent creative vision with an eye for colour, fabric, and embellishment.
  • Organisational ability to work across multiple projects under strict deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration and presentations.
