Nikita Karizma is recruiting a motivated, inspiring Studio Manager from a luxury fashion background to join her fashion design house.
Suitable applicants will have a personality that can drive forward business growth and evolve with us as we move into a new studio space and approach future catwalk showcases. We are moving into a new studio HQ in 2025, designed for a modern-day luxury house & press client.
We have a global high-profile client & are looking for someone to join our team who can communicate with business contacts with sensitivity and maintain relationships for the company.
This position is not suitable for a graduate.
Studio Management:
Manage the team with a work ethic & company culture aligned with Nikita Karizma.
Scheduling the in-house team, ensuring deadline adherence to company goals.
Prepare all questions with current projects for meetings with Nikita.
Book in shipments / courier & keep a track of incoming deliveries.
Attendance log for the team, submitting end of the month.
Management of the in-house & freelance team on busy days for red carpet, photoshoots & catwalk.
Setting firm boundaries for the business & handling sensitive business information.
Manage freelancer contracts with NDAs, timekeeping, company rules & private set policies.
Managing our wider freelance team: Hairstylist, Makeup Artists, Stylists, Nail Techs, Photographers, Video Editors, Content Creators, Social Media Managers, Designers, Samplists, Pattern Cutters, etc.
Fashion Week: Liase with brand partners as we transition to the fashion week schedule, including the show production, event venue, PRs, casting director, creative teams, etc.
Manage the Studio HQ, ensure it is kept in an organised & clean manner with all studio supplies in stock.
Welcoming of industry guests at the studio HQ, offering them a welcome drink/snack & signing their contract / NDA in the entrance lounge.
Maintain the computer staff dropbox folders in an organised manner.
Ensure the company is working towards Nikita’s creative vision, signature style & the brand identity.
Ensure all members of the team are following the company systems on air table & spreadsheets and all check lists are being ticked off for all processes.
Ensure the team are following our workflow guides per role & not skipping any checkpoints.
Responsibility of being a key holder for the studio headquarters, opening & closing the studio daily.
Product Development:
Oversee our product development cycle.
Fabric sourcing & liaisons with fabric suppliers.
Order fabric / components with monthly wholesale order lists to maintain core fabrics in studio.
Oversee brand partnership collaborations between the brand brief & our team ensuring quality of work & deadlines are met for successful partnerships.
Maintain pattern cutting library in an organised manner.
Maintain fabric library books, spreadsheets & in studio fabrics & tags.
Organise factory samples inventory & all studio systems.
Manufacturing & Wholesale:
Costings on Google Sheets spreadsheet for all products with accuracy, currency exchange & profitability calculations to wholesale pricing.
Final check of the Tech Packs for manufacturing produced by designers. (Joint responsibility with Nikita)
Factory manufacturing. This is packed & prepared in house by our designer. Oversee this & make all final checks.
Submit grading to external grade house.
Quality control inspect & receive goods from factory. Send the factory any corrections, update our air tables & any updates to consumptions.
Create the line sheet ready for wholesale buyers each season, ready before LFW.
Ensure our wholesale orders are delivered timely in the delivery windows.
NIKITA (10-20% until we hire a PA):
Preparation for red carpet, PR events & media appearances
Check her freelance team are delivering work for her founder profile: social media, Hair & Makeup, video & photographers.
Travel planning for business trips
Liaisons with her team on critical times of the year: Fashion Week, Red Carpet, etc.
Requirements:
At least 4 years' experience working in the luxury fashion industry.
Experience managing production and delivery for wholesale in an organised, timely manner.
Experience working for a London Fashion Week catwalk designer as a studio manager for 4 seasons.
Experience at an on-schedule fashion week showcasing a design house
Strong skillset in managing a team
Strong people skills
Rehearsed in product development & the luxury cycle.
A go-getter mindset, very driven and motivated for a long-term career aim in luxury fashion.
Competent usage of spreadsheets with formulas: Numbers, Excel & Google Sheets.
Can use organisation apps like Trello & Airtable
